The owners of Rice Furniture attribute their success and longevity to the support of the community in which they do business. In recognition of this support, Rice Furniture gives back generously by donating time, money and support to local initiatives, community events and fund raisers. In 2003 a Memorial Scholarship was established in the name of Bob Rice to provide money to two graduating seniors from Saranac Lake High School every year. Rice Furniture has also been a long time supporter of North Country Community College, Trudeau Institute, Adirondack Medical Center, Pendragon Theatre, and Lake Placid Center for the Arts. Recently they have developed a fundraiser to help support Mt. Pisgah, Big Tupper and Whiteface Mountain.
